Minsk 2019: Canoe sprint competitions get underway in Zaslavl

MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – The canoe sprint competitions kicked off at Zaslavl Regatta Course as part of the 2nd European Games in Minsk on 25 June, BelTA has learned.

Competing for Belarus are many-time Olympic medalists Raman Piatrushenka and Andrei Bahdanovich, five-time world champion Dzmitry Riabchanka, two-time Olympic medalists Nadzeya Papok and Volha Khudzenka, and Rio Olympic bronze medalist Marharyta Makhneva.

The first medal events will be held on 26 June.

The canoe sprint competitions will be over on 27 June. A total of 350 athletes are competing in 16 medals events.
