MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Ivan Ivashka of Belarus has advanced into the doubles quarterfinal of the ATP Challenger Tour in Prague, BelTA has learned.
In the round of Last 16 the Belarusian player together with India's Sumit Nagal defeated New Zealand-Slovakia duo of Artem Sitak and Igor Zelenay 3-6, 6-3, 10-8. The Belarusian-Indian tandem will take on the French duo of Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Arthur Rinderknech for the semifinal spot.
In the singles opener Ilya Ivashka lost 0-6, 5-7 to world number 255 Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic.
The tournament in the Czech Republic will be over on 22 August.
