MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 111 Ilya Ivashka has progressed into the round of Last 32 at Barcelona Open, BelTA has learned.
In the opener the Belarusian needed less than an hour to see off world number 144 Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands 6-3, 6-1. Ilya Ivashka will next face Spain's world number 3 Rafael Nadal.
Belarus' world number 77 Egor Gerasimov solved France's world number 71 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-5, 6-1 to set up a matchup against Italy's world number 19 Jannik Sinner.
The tournament in Barcelona will be over on 25 April.
