MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 72 Egor Gerasimov did not reach the main draw of the Austrian Open in Kitzbuhel, BelTA has learned.
On 8 September, the Belarusian lost 4-6, 4-6 to Germany's world number 337 Maximilian Marterer in the qualifying decider.
In the first qualifying round Egor Gerasimov saw off Austria's world number 494 Alexander Erler 7-6 (7-2), 6-3.
At the Istanbul Open, Belarus' world number 106 Aliaksandra Sasnovich will face Kazakhstan's world number 69 Zarina Diyas in the round of Last 32. Belarus' Lidziya Marozava and Romania's Cristina-Andreea Mitu will take on the U.S.-Chile tandem of Desirae Krawczyk and Alexa Guarachi for a spot in the quarterfinal.
The tournaments in Kitzbuhel and Istanbul will be over on 13 September.
