MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - The Diamond League has postponed three more meetings which had been scheduled to take place in May, BelTA learned from the World Athletics official website.
The decision was made to also suspend meetings in Stockholm (scheduled for 24 May), Naples/Rome (28 May) and Rabat (31 May). An alternative calendar for the 2020 season is to be announced in due course.
Earlier, the World Athletics, jointly with the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry and the Belarusian Athletics Federation, had decided to postpone the IAAF World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships which was due in Minsk on 2-3 May. Three Diamond League meetings in Qatar and China had also been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
