MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) - The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) announced their decision to postpone all events until further notice, BelTA learned form the CEV website.
This decision applies to under-age volleyball qualifiers, the CEV Volleyball European Golden and Silver League 2020, the CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup Phase 2 and the European Cups scheduled to take place from April until June.
The CEV Volleyball European League 2020 was to begin in late May with group stage. The Belarusian men's team coached by Viktar Beksha were drawn into Pool B to play against the Netherlands, Ukraine and Estonia. The Belarusian women's team under coach Denis Matveev drew Bulgaria, Hungary and France in Pool A.
Last year Belarusian men's team sealed bronze at the CEV Volleyball European Golden League 2019. The women's team ranked third.
The Belarusian teams were also to participate in the European Qualifiers 2020 and the CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup 2020.
