MINSK, 17 December (BelTA) – Canadian defenseman Joe Morrow, 27, has signed a two-season contract with HC Dinamo Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Bisons.

HC Dinamo Minsk Director General Dmitry Baskov commented on the new signing: “We continue to strengthen the roster, the line of defense. We studied Joe's candidacy well before signing the contract. We believe that this player will help us to balance the defense. Joe Morrow is at an optimal hockey age, which lets us plan our cooperation with him, including for the future. This explains the signing of the contract for two seasons. With the decisive period of the championship underway, we are busy with selection to give the team new energy,” he said.

Joe Morrow played for the Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, and Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League. He scored ten goals and made 34 assists in 173 matches.

This season the Canadian played 16 games for the New Jersey Devils farm club, the Binghamton Devils, to score 4 (1+3) points.
