MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – Belarusian judo wrestler Maryna Slutskaya has made it to the Women's Heavyweight +78kg final at the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
In the semifinal, the Belarusian beat Azerbaijan's Irina Kindzerska. After the match Maryna Slutskaya told the media that her rival was really strong. She added that the fans' support helped her prevail in the last seconds.
Belarus' Daniel Mukete will compete for the Men's Half-heavyweight -100kg bronze medal.
Judo competitions which are underway at Chizhovka Arena include 15 judo medal events.
