MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) - Belarus' Dzmitry Asanau won the Light -60kg semifinal to secure at least a silver medal at the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
On his way to the final the Belarusian defeated Slovakia's Viliam Tanko, Slovenia's Tadej Cernoga, Ukraine's Yurii Shestak, and Armenia's Karen Tonakanyan.
Belarus' Uladzislau Smiahlikau will face UK's Chev Clarke in the Men's Heavy, -91kg semifinal.
A total of 316 boxers (male and females) are competing in 15 medal events in Minsk.
