MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – Belarus will start its run in the elite round of the qualifying competition for the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup on 30 January, BelTA has learned.
In Group A first match in Portugal's Povoa de Varzim Belarus will face the host of the tournament. The other opening match will feature Italy v Finland. Belarus will take on Italy on 31 January and play Finland on 2 February.






Group C is already in action in Croatia's Osijek, with Croatia blanking Azerbaijan 2-0 and Russia routing Slovakia 7-1.
Group B features Serbia (host), Spain, Ukraine and France.
Group D includes the Czech Republic (host), Slovenia, Romania, Kazakhstan.
The winners in the elite round groups will advance to the playoffs. The runners-up will play in April for two more playoff berths.
The 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup, featuring 24 teams, will be hosted in Lithuania from 12 September to 4 October.
