MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – The badminton tournament got underway at Minsk Falcon Club as part of the 2nd European Games on 24 June, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian tandem of Anastasiya Cherniavskaya and Alesia Zaitsava lost the Group C opener to Belgium's Lise Jaques and Flore Vandenhoucke 10-21, 11-21. The Belarusians will next play the Estonian duo of Kati-Kreet Marran and Helina Ruutel.
The Belarusian team also comprises Krestina Silich and Aliaksei Konakh.
The badminton tournament, which includes seven medal events, will run through 30 June.
