MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Belarusian players have learned their rivals in the group stage. The tournament will take place in the Czech Republic from 26 September to 4 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation.

Twelve teams will compete at the tournament. These are Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, France, and the Czech Republic.

Sergei Trotsky's team will face Russia, Germany, Turkey, Ukraine and the Netherlands in Pool II.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) decided to cancel the second and third qualifying rounds. The selection for the group stage was based on the rankings of the national teams.

Athletes, functionaries and staff will have to stick to strict measures of social distancing to meet the anti-COVID-19 measures adopted by the authorities and the CEV management.
