Belarus' ice hockey team cut short training camp

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian national ice hockey team ended their training camp ahead of time, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.

Initially the training camp at Chizhovka Arena was to last through 30 April. Due to the epidemiological situation related to the COVID-19 outbreak, the management of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation decided to end the training camp on 15 April.

Members of the national team will continue their training for the Olympic qualification in an individual mode following the schedule of Mikhail Zakharov's coaching staff.

The final qualification for the 2022 Winter Olympics is slated for August 2020. Belarus will face Slovakia, Austria and Poland.
