MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – Belarus' Anfisa Kapayeva defeated Asya Lalazaryan of Armenia in Women's-48kg Bronze Medal Match on 22 June, BelTA has learned.
“Of course, I wish I fought for the gold medal. But I made many mistakes during the tournaments. Nevertheless, the bronze of this multi-sports event hosted by Belarus is very important for me. We will keep working and striving for gold,” Anfisa Kapayeva told reporters.
As many as 144 athletes are competing for 18 sets of medals during the sambo competitions as part of the 2nd European Games in Minsk. The sambo events will finish in the Sports Palace on 23 June.
