MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian men's team has progressed to the EuroHockey Indoor Championship top division, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Hockey Federation.
In the group stage Belarus celebrated a 5-4 win over Portugal and a 8-1 victory over Denmark. Belarus played in a 2-2 draw with Turkey.
Belarus next got into the pool with Portugal, Switzerland and Croatia. Yuri Drozdov's men lost to Switzerland 2-3 and edged Croatia 3-2. Belarus placed second and got the right to play at the 2022 EuroHockey Indoor Championship for the first time in its history.
