MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – Belarus' Yauheni Zaichyk and Katsiaryna Kruchanok placed fourth in the Mixed Team 50m Pistol at the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
In the final the duet lost the medal chances following the first session giving way to Georgia, Latvia, and Russia.
Russia's Margarita Lomova and Artem Chernousov claimed the champion title with the total of 94.0 points.
Latvia's Agate Rasmane and Lauris Strautmanis, who were in the lead for a long time, produced one shot at 8.7 to place second. Bronze went to Nino Salukvadze and Tsotne Machavariani of Georgia. The gold medal of Margarita Lomova and Artem Chernousov became the 40th medal for Russia at the Minsk games.
