MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes finished third at the World Youth Under-16 Chess Olympiad in Turkey, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Chess Federation.
Denis Lazavik, Maksim Tsaruk, Ivan Runets, Artsiom Siniauski and Aliaksandra Tarasenka as part of the Belarusian national team placed third at the prestigious competitions. Azerbaijan won the champion title. Silver went to Uzbekistan.
Taking part in the tournament were chess players from 48 countries.
