MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Belarusian wrestlers placed second at the 2020 Grand Prix de France Henri Deglane total standings, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian athletes claimed four gold, three silver and four bronze medals, scoring a total of 296 points. Athletes from Georgia topped the standings with 11 (2, 4, 5) medals and 380 points.
Gold medals were collected by Heorhi Kaliyeu (65kg), Viktar Serada (70kg), Dzianis Khramiankou (125kg), and Kiryl Maskevich (87kg).
Silver went to Uladzislau Andreyeu (61kg), Ibragim Saidov (125kg) and Mikalai Stadub (87kg).
Bronze medals were clinched by Dimchik Rinchinov (57kg), Viktar Sasunouski (77kg), and Aliaksandr Hrabovik (97kg).
At the 2019 Grand Prix in Nice Belarusian wrestlers won four silver and two bronze medals.
The tournament celebrates Olympic champion in Greco-Roman Wrestling Henri Deglane (France) who claimed gold at the 1924 Games in Paris. In Nice he headed the Lutte Club Nice.
Competing in the 2020 edition were more than 200 athletes from 22 countries.
