Arina Averina to represent Russia at Minsk European Games

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Three-time world champion in rhythmic gymnastics Arina Averina will represent Russia in individual events at the 2nd European Games in Minsk. The European Union of Gymnastics published a list of athletes for the forthcoming tournament, BelTA has learned.

Apart from Arina Averina and Belarus' Katsiaryna Halkina, competing at Minsk Arena will be such well-known athletes as Ukraine's Vlada Nikolchenko, Israel's Linoy Ashram, Azerbaijan's Zohra Aghamirova, and Georgia's Salome Pazhava. A total of 12 athletes will compete in separate and all-around events. Eight teams will compete in group events.

Competitions in rhythmic gymnastics at the 2nd European Games will take place on 22-23 June.

The 2nd European Games will be held in Minsk on 21-30 June. More than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete for 200 sets of medals in 15 sports.

Tickets for the European Games are available at www.minsk2019.ticketpro.by, in the box offices of the official ticket operator Ticketpro and in more than 300 sales points in all the oblast centers and big regional centers. Tickets can be bought through a noncash settlement. For this it is necessary to fill in an application, providing a phone number and fax and submit it to minsk2019@ticketpro.by or by fax 8-017-392-67-70.
