MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Alina Talay of Belarus finished 4th at the World Athletics Indoor Tour in Dusseldorf, Germany, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
The Belarusian athlete clocked 8 seconds to come in fourth in the Women's 60m Hurdles. Christina Clemons of the United States secured a win in 7.91. German Cindy Roleder took silver in 7.94. Tobi Amusan of Nigeria was third in 7.96.
Belarus' Darya Borisevich placed fifth in the Women's 1,500m, clocking 4:08.53.
Beatrice Chepkoech of Kenya won the event in 4:02.09. Axumawit Embaye of Ethiopia came in second (4:02.96). Winnie Nanyondo of Uganda was third in 4:06.13.
BelTA has earlier reported that Alina Talay placed second at the Meeting de Paris Indoor 2020. The Belarusian showed the best result among the European athletes this season.
The World Athletics Indoor Tour, previously called IAAF World Indoor Tour, is an annual series of indoor athletics competitions held since 2016.
