MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Alena Amialiusik finished 8th at the UEC 2020 Road European Championships in Plouay, France, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian clocked 35:49.64 in the Women's 25.6km Individual Time-Trial.
Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands won the event in 34:03.92. Second was her compatriot Ellen van Dijk, 31 seconds behind the winner. Third place went to Swiss Marlen Reusser, 59 seconds back.
Switzerland's Stefan Kung won the men's event in 30:18. French rider Remi Cavagna finished second, 18 seconds back. Bronze went to Belgium's Victor Campenaerts, 22 seconds behind the winner.
Anastasia Kolesova of Belarus came in 18th (39:12.11) in the Women's Under 23 event.
Hanna Ludwig of Germany topped the podium in the event, with a time of 35:53.29. Her compatriot Franziska Koch was second, with a time of 36:17.68. Third place went to Pole Marta Jaskulska with a time of 37:11.65.
The competitions in France will be over on 28 August.
