PM: Bullying is unacceptable

MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – Bullying is unacceptable. Such cases will be given a legal assessment, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said in an interview with the ONT TV channel on 20 August, BelTA has learned.

“For me, as a person, this is unacceptable in principle, as an official, this is a problem," said Roman Golovchenko.

The head of government said he did not expect that people would allow such statements.“I still believe that the majority of those people are not Belarusians, neither by origin nor spirit. There are some distinctive features of the Belarusian mentality, which are tolerance and absence of aggression. This is in the genes of the Belarusians,” prime minister said.

“Such bullying is a serious problem, but I am sure we can handle it. Those who have crossed the moral line, are crossing the legal one too, and all these actions will be given a legal assessment. The Belarusian legislation prescribes the methods and effective ways to call those people who insult and threaten others to account,” Roman Golovchenko added.
