GOMEL, 11 May (BelTA) – An Italian charity organization A.N.P.AS. from the Emilia Romagna region has earmarked funds to purchase protective gear for a hospital in Dobrush and a kindergarten-school in Dobrush District, Gomel Oblast, BelTA learned from Chairman of the international public charitable association Help for Chernobyl Children Gennady Koretsky.
The Dobrush hospital and the kindergarten-school located in the village of Nivki received €1,000 to purchase respirators, face masks, antiseptics and disinfectants.
The Italian charity organization A.N.P.AS. from Emilia Romagna has been helping children from Dobrush District for more than 20 years. Over 500 children living in rural communities have been to Italy for recuperation. The organization also provides humanitarian assistance, including help with remodeling and repairing schools and healthcare facilities. In 2019 a joint project “Prevention of human papillomavirus infection among children” was launched in collaboration with the Dobrush District Executive Committee.
“Although children will not go for recuperation to Emilia Romagna this year, the Italian partners have not forgotten about them. Over these years they have developed strong bonds with the children,” Gennady Koretsky said. The personal protective equipment was delivered to the recipients by the charity he leads.
