Draft agendas of CIS Foreign Ministers Council, Heads of State Council sessions in development

MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – A regular session of the Council of plenipotentiary representatives of the CIS member states in CIS charter bodies and other bodies will take place in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk on 21 July using videoconference technologies, BelTA has learned.

Participants of the session will discuss the Council's work in the area of cooperation in healthcare in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The spread of COVID-19 in the CIS states will be discussed.

Participants of the session are also expected to draft agendas of the next sessions of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council and the CIS Heads of State Council, which are due to take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 15-16 October.

Apart from that, a joint action plan of the CIS Executive Committee, the Council of plenipotentiary representatives, the Commission for Economic Affairs will be discussed bearing in mind the implementation of instructions arising from decisions made by the CIS Heads of Government Council in May as well as from proposals made by heads of the delegations during the May session. CIS plenipotentiaries will see proposals for the draft agenda of the next session of the CIS Heads of Government Council, which is due to take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 6 November.

The Council of CIS plenipotentiaries will see intermediate results of fulfillment of the concept on Uzbekistan's CIS presidency in 2020 and the action plan on implementing the concept. The CIS plenipotentiaries are also expected to discuss who will lead the CIS mission to observe the presidential election in Belarus on 9 August 2020.
