MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – Elections in Belarus are organized for the sake of the Belarusian people instead of international observers. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement after casting his vote during the presidential election on 9 August, BelTA has learned.

While talking about possible evaluations of international observers, the head of state said: “Honestly speaking, I've already read everything that has been prepared. We shouldn't expect overly enthusiastic evaluations. Politics is a fight. For us it is the art of the possible. We don't want them to say bad things about us but we will act bearing in mind interests of the Belarusian nation.”
