MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – The healthcare industry in Belarus is advanced for the most part and enjoys a strong demand. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement as he met with top officials and executives of the city of Minsk on 7 July, BelTA has learned.

The head of state noted that many healthcare facilities, including hospitals and clinics, were commissioned in the capital city in the last few years. The fact that citizens from a large number of other countries seek Belarusian medical services is an indicator of the quality of the available medical services.

“Belarus exports dozens of millions of U.S. dollars' worth of medical services. We treat foreigners just like many well-developed countries do – the USA, European countries, Israel. It means that our healthcare industry is advanced for the most part and enjoys a strong demand,” the president said.
