MOSCOW, 28 August (BelTA) – The calls to go on strikes are used by the West to destroy Belarus' industry and agriculture, Head of the Expert Council of Russia's Strategic Development Fund Igor Shatrov told BelTA.
“Belarusian workers will soon realize that the European economy does not need Belarus' industry. Indeed, even small enterprises in the Baltic states were destroyed; no one needs any competition. The first thing the Europeans will do will be elimination of the Belarusian manufacturing sector. I think that the same will be done with the country's agricultural sector, because as we know farmers in Europe throw away their products in front of local administrations just because of overproduction,” the expert said.
