MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – A date for a session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia has not been set yet, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Grigory Rapota told journalists on 5 March, BelTA has learned.

“The dates of the sessions of the Union State Council of Ministers and the Supreme State Council depend on their heads. We are waiting for them to make the decision,” Grigory Rapota said.

According to him, the agendas of the sessions of the Union State Council of Ministers, the High-Level Group of the Council of Ministers, and the Supreme State Council of the Union State were prepared last year. “They are constantly updated as new matters and issues arise. We solve some of these issues without waiting for the sessions not to stall the process,” Grigory Rapota noted.

He stressed that the Union State budget for 2020 has already been signed. “We are working with it,” the state secretary added.

On 5 March, Minsk is hosting a meeting of representatives of Belarus' state customers and executors of the Union State programs, projects, and activities in education, culture, healthcare, sport, environmental protection, and radiation safety. Plans are in place to take stock of the Union State programs, projects, and activities in these fields in 2019 and discuss issues concerning their implementation and ways to address them.
