MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei had a telephone conversation with Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Mayo on Italy's initiative, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed a political dialogue and cooperation in trade, economy and humanitarian affairs. At the request of his Italian counterpart, who expressed concern about post-election events in Belarus, Vladimir Makei informed him about the political situation in the country,” the press service said.
The Belarusian minister underlined the importance of the objective and comprehensive assessment of the recent developments in the country and reaffirmed the country's readiness for constructive dialogue with foreign partners without threats and interference with domestic affairs.
