CSTO to compile single list of terrorist organizations

MOSCOW, 12 February (BelTA) - The CSTO will compile a single list of organizations recognized as terrorist organizations in the CSTO member states. This matter was discussed during a meeting between CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas and Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA.

Stanislav Zas and Vyacheslav Volodin exchanged views on a number of issues, including a draft plan of action of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly with regards the rapprochement and harmonization of national laws of the CSTO member states for 2021-2025, compiling a single list of organizations recognized as terrorist organizations in the CSTO member states, preparations for the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the legal status of an observer and partner at the CSTO, and coordination of activities at international organizations,” the spokesman said.

Vyacheslav Volodin congratulated Stanislav Zas on his appointment as the CSTO secretary general and expressed his readiness to fully assist the CSTO Secretariat in meeting the challenges facing the organization.

“In addition, the parties also touched upon the issues of participation of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in the activities organized by the CSTO Secretariat and the secretariat in the activities of this parliamentary organization,” the spokesman said.
