MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei has had a phone conversation with his Canadian counterpart Francois-Philippe Champagne on the initiative of the Canadian party, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties spoke about the post-election situation in Belarus. Vladimir Makei cited certain incidents of external interference in Belarus' domestic affairs. He called on Canada to assess the situation in Belarus in an objective manner, analyzing information from various sources.
“The parties also exchanged opinions about the prospects for further bilateral cooperation,” the press service added.
