MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – Belarus demonstrates a well-balanced and efficient policy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Belarus Latif Gandilov told BelTA as he commented on the Belarus president's annual address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly on 4 August.
“In his annual address Aleksandr Lukashenko touched upon a wide range of issues: politics, economy, humanitarian affairs. I was impressed with the figures the head of state cited with regard to Belarus' efforts to combat the coronavirus,” the ambassador said. “We see a downturn in the economy everywhere. Yet Belarus, pursuing a balanced policy, has managed to achieve good results, which are obvious,” the diplomat noted.
“Against the background of the slowdown in the world economy, the development of the Belarusian economy is evident," Latif Gandilov said. "There is growth in all areas. No one can deny this fact,” he said.
