Belarus, Germany discuss cooperation prospects

MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko met with Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Michael Siebert on 5 December. Michael Siebert is in Belarus to take part in the 17th Minsk Forum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The participants of the meeting discussed the state and prospects of Belarus-Germany cooperation and the Belarus-EU dialogue. They also shared views on the topical issues of the international agenda.

A special focus of the meeting was placed on the establishment of a Belarus-Germany advisory group that will discuss bilateral cooperation promotion strategies. The corresponding arrangement was reached by the foreign ministers of Belarus and Germany at the Berlin talks in October 2019.
