The lake is located on the border of Beryoza District and Drogichin District, within the Sporovsky Biological Reserve. It makes one whole with nearby swamps and the Yaselda River. The lake is over 11km2 big. Local fauna features 20 mammal species, 112 bird species (17 of them are in the Red List of Endangered Spices), 6 reptile species and 8 amphibian species.
