Symbolic handfuls of soil from war and mass graves from the times of the Great Patriotic War in Chechersk District were put in a capsule on 26 March.
The meeting in the Alley of the Heroes of the Soviet Union wrapped up the regional stage of the nationwide campaign To the Glory of the Common Victory. Local residents joined the campaign at the beginning of March. Since then, they have collected soil from all war and mass graves in the district.
