As long as people come to war memorials and obelisks to pay their respects, they will be shielded against misfortune and adversity, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the Belarusians on the occasion of Independence Day during the flower ceremony on Victory Square in Minsk on 3 July.
