The former Jesuit monastery is the biggest landmark of the agro-town of Yurovichi in Kalinkovichi District. In the 18th century, the monastery possessed an icon of the Mother of God that was believed to be wonder-working. Later it became a Bernardine monastery and in 1832 its church was rebuilt as an Orthodox church.
It was home to the Orthodox Convent of the Nativity of the Mother of God in the 1990s and since 2006 – to the Orthodox monastery.
The complex of the former Jesuit monastery was included in the national list of historical and cultural heritage.
