A ceremony to pay tribute to the participant of the famous meeting at the Elbe Alexander Silvashko took place at the Mikhanovichi cemetery near Minsk where the Soviet officer was buried. A flower laying ceremony was attended by Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko, Charge d'Affaires of the USA in Belarus Jenifer Moore, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Belarus Igor Kizim and one of the daughters of Alexander Silvashko.
