JAKARTA, 3 September (BelTA - Xinhua) - Girder erection is underway at all three beam yards along the whole alignment of Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway (HSR) in the past three days, a statement released by the railway owner KCIC said on Thursday.
The continuous process marks that the construction of box girder erection of Jakarta-Bandung HSR is in full swing, said KCIC, a joint venture consortium by Chinese and Indonesian state-owned firms that runs the 142.3-km HSR train project linking Jakarta and capital of West Java province of Bandung.
KCIC said in the statement that safety assessment and girder erection data assessment for the three beam yards have been conducted before the erection, adding that both the Chinese and Indonesian sides have carried out the simulation before the erection on site.
The development of the Jakarta-Bandung HSR project continued to move forward amid the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
