Politics is preferably for people with experience and a strong background, head of the information and analysis department at the Public Administration Academy under the aegis of the Belarusian president, Candidate of Science [Sociology] Vladimir Litvinovich said.
The expert explained why he thinks politics needs professionals who are ready for managerial and administrative work. He noted that it is very important in politics, including electoral politics, that people have the so-called background, in other words personal and professional experience, education and contacts. “People look at achievements of a politician. This determines his/her reputation,” Vladimir Litvinovich said.
Reputation is based on experience and achievements of a politician. “Background is essential for any professional. It is important that a person has achieved something by this time,” the expert said.
