The National Flag and Emblem Day is important for the Belarusian society, Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Commission for Healthcare, Physical Education, Family and Youth Policy of Belarus' House of Representatives Valentin Miloshevsky said.
The MP said that these and other state symbols embody the sovereignty of any country, and Belarus is not an exception. “The people of Belarus can be proud that their country has established itself as an independent state. The National Flag and Emblem Day is very important for the society, for its consolidation,” Valentin Miloshevsky emphasized.
The Belarusian flag and emblem are recognizable and are respected abroad thanks to the peace-loving multi-vector policy of the country, Valentin Miloshevsky added.
Belarus celebrates the National Flag and Emblem Day on the second Sunday in May. The holiday was established in 1995.
