The media coverage of armed conflicts should promote their prompt resolution, Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev told media ahead of the plenary meeting of the 11th Belarusian international media forum Partnership for the Future on 13 May, BelTA has learned.
“I am convinced that the media coverage should promote the prompt settlement of conflicts, quick finding of peaceful resolution to the problem,” said Sergei Lebedev.
In his words, the media coverage of such events should be objective and do not awake mutual hate in people. “A moral aspect should also be present. No one should demonstrate dead bodies and blood in order to make a sensation. Who needs this?” the Executive Secretary said.
