Industrial sites in Baranovichi will drive the development of the regional economy

The establishment of industrial sites in Baranovichi will contribute to the development of entrepreneurship and to higher business activity in the region, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich, who also works as the Belarus president's plenipotentiary in Brest Oblast.

In his words, such projects will drive the development of the regional economy. The new industrial sites are being created using spare assets of industrial enterprises. Investors are invited to take over vacant buildings and premises. There are a total of 23 sites like that in Baranovichi.

The comprehensive social and economic development of Baranovichi and the district till 2020 has been thoroughly discussed at sessions of the Baranovichi District Executive Committee and the Brest Oblast Executive Committee together with heads of central government agencies.

The Brest Oblast administration has approved draft action plans on the sustainable social and economic development of Baranovichi and the district. The documents have been forwarded for consideration of the central government. “We expect the Council of Ministers to see to the matter soon and make a positive decision,” noted Mikhail Myasnikovich.
