Entrepreneurship development ordinance will improve business climate in Belarus

Ordinance No.7 on entrepreneurship development will improve the business environment in the Belarusian regions, Chairman of the Lyuban District Executive Committee Sergei Kazetsky noted during a press tour on 23 January.

“As of today, there are about 700 entrepreneurs in Lyuban District. They work in such sectors as maintenance and construction services, trade, furniture making, transport services, and other fields,” Sergei Kazetsky underlined. “Lyuban District is carrying out a big investment project to construct a mining and processing plant in Nezhin. According to preliminary estimates, the Nezhin population will grow by 6,000 in the near future. As a result, the number of necessary services to be provided to them is expected to grow,” he added.

The ordinance will enable an effective government-business partnership, the official underlined. Such instruments as simplified registration and taxation procedures for commercial entities are meant to develop entrepreneurship. Thus, the document will have a positive impact on regional development, Sergei Kazetsky believes.

In general, speaking about employment, Sergei Kazetsky stressed that new jobs will be created thanks to the construction of infrastructure, namely an electric station and a railway running towards the Nezhin mining and processing plant.

Last year, 916 citizens got employed in Lyuban District with the assistance of local authorities. There are 440 new vacancies offered by different commercial entities. The work is underway to promote employment in the region.
