Belarus should take maximum out of integration potential

Belarus should use the maximum of the opportunities the integration associations – Union State, Eurasian Economic Union, CIS – provide, member of the public council at the Interior Ministry of Belarus Candidate of Philosophy Nikolai Shchekin told BelTA as he commented on the Belarus President's State of the Nation Address.

“I think Belarus' efforts to modernize the CIS in order to make it stronger and maximally adjusted to the present-day life will be supported by many partners. It is extremely important that Belarus with its well-balanced, open and peaceful foreign policy is in conflict with no one. Belarus initiates peaceful programs and projects supported by the international community, and the country is always ready to offer its dialogue platform. Belarus is respected much for this today,” stressed Nikolai Shchekin.

Nikolai Shchekin emphasized the goals set forth by Alexander Lukashenko in his State of the Nation Address, in the personnel sector in particular. “The personnel policy cannot but be adjusted taking into account the changing economic realities. We need enterprising people, ready to compete, with new skills, present knowledge. It is important to take an operational response to emerging challenges,” the expert stressed.

According to Nikolai Shchekin, the Address gave a clear and important signal. Every one of us should be self-improving on a constant basis and grow both professionally and intellectually. “This will help our country move forward and address any social and economic issues,” he added.
