Belarus is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen, famous Italian singer, member of the jury at the International Song Contest Vitebsk 2018 Robertino Loretti said in an interview with the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
Robertino Loretti noted that he came to know about the festival and the city of Vitebsk over 20 years ago. “The city is amazing. Belarus is developing at an incredibly fast pace. You live like in a paradise. You have beautiful primeval forests,” he said.
The Italian singer praised the high professional level of the contest participants. “A good level, maybe, not at the maximum, but much higher than 20 years ago. Some are better, some are worse; some should thank their parents for the vocal talent. When I give a score, I do not care about singers' looks, but listen to their voice – the timbre and emotional input,” he added.
Music is very powerful, Robertino Loretti believes. “I have been singing for millions of people since childhood. Many say that they learned Italian listening to my songs”, the singer added.
