Belarus is an important participant of integration process in the region, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Sahib Mammadov said at the international conference “Laying the foundation in the UNECE region for economic. Integration and sustainable development towards 2030” in Minsk.
According to him, the conference has become a good platform for the discussion of mounting modern challenges. “It is needed to join efforts to work out the strategy of concerted efforts in these changing conditions. These issues are very important for Azerbaijan, too,” Sahib Mammadov said. He stressed that Azerbaijan takes an active part in regional integration associations and communicates its point of view on all topical issues.
The conference aims to promote the “integration of integrations” initiative announced by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko at the UN summit in 2015. The conference which is held on 26-27 October is attended by more than 130 guests from the UNECE region, including the representatives of parliaments, ministries of foreign affairs, various integration associations, and international organizations.
