Belarus and Russia have many areas of common interest in the youth policy, member of the commission on social and youth policy, science, culture and humanitarian affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State Olga Germanova told the media on 17 December, BelTA has learned.
“Next year will mark the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is the agenda we will focus our activities on, including youth issues. We need to win the internet space. We need meetings and teleconferences. We have a lot of points of contact in the youth policy,” Olga Germanova said.
According to Lyudmila Makarina-Kibak, member of the commission on social and youth policy, science, culture and humanitarian affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State, that was the right decision to establish the Youth Chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly. "We took the right step to form the Youth Chamber. We saw that young people are active, that they work and know how to do it together. They have a lot of initiatives. I would like to mention the project initiated by young people on digitalization of memorial places and burials to mark the anniversary of the Great Victory,” she added.


Minsk hosted a meeting of the Youth Chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State on 17 December. The meeting focused on the results of the Youth Chamber activity in 2019, new youth projects and the action plan for 2020, cooperation with other youth associations.
