The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will be held in Minsk on 25 November. Taking part in it will be 20 countries, which is the highest number of participating states in the history of the contest.
Belarus already hosted the contest in 2010.
19 November – Solemn opening ceremony (Belexpo exhibition center)
24 November – Dress rehearsal (Minsk Arena)
25 November – Grand Final (Minsk Arena)
This year's slogan of the contest is #LightUp
Belarus will be represented by Daniel Yastremski. He won the national selection with his act Time. Daniel is 14 years old. He was born in Cincinnati, but lives and studies in Minsk where he attended a music school.
Our country won the contest twice:
2005 - Ksenia Sitnik with the song We Are Together
2007 - Aleksei Zhigalkovich with the song With Friends.
Belarus has been participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since its inception in 2003.
