Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus (Republic Day) is a national holiday celebrated on 3 July, on the day when Minsk was liberated from Nazi invaders. The decision to celebrate Independence Day on 3 July was made at the nationwide referendum in 1996.

Minsk Hero City Memorial:
21h00 – Military parade and a theatrical performance Belarus a Heroic Nation, followed by the Let's Sing the Anthem Together event;
22h30 – Gala concert Strong and Modern Belarus.
Sports Palace:
10h00 – Arts and crafts fair and a festive fair;
13h00 – International strongmen tournament Minsk Strong Battle.
On 3 July, the KinoMinska cinema network will show documentary films about the war on dynamic displays.
Festive fireworks in Minsk will be launched from six sites at 22h00: Pobedy Park, a bank of the Drozdy Water Reservoir, a site near the Chizhovka cemetery, a site near the Minsk-1 Airport, on Prigorodnaya Street, a military town in Uruchie.
